Raleigh, NC—Today, State Representative and Chairman of the NC House Agriculture Committee Jimmy Dixon announced his endorsement of E.C. Sykes for North Carolina Secretary of State.
“As the House Agriculture Chairman and the Representative from Duplin and Onslow Counties, it is my pleasure to endorse E.C. Sykes to be the next Secretary of State. E.C. will be a strong voice for agriculture, values, and Eastern North Carolina,” said Chairman Dixon. “From his background in business and the relationships he has developed at the General Assembly, he is primed to drive our economy and business climate in the state.”
“Chairman Dixon has been a defender of North Carolina values for years, never wavering or backing down from a fight on behalf of his constituents. North Carolina farmers and the agriculture industry within our state are lucky to have such a strong advocate for their interests, especially in these tumultuous times,” said Sykes. “I’m especially proud to have Chairman Dixon’s endorsement in this race because he understands what is possible with a business-minded Secretary of State in office. Our businesses across the state are hurting and they’re having to deal with a Secretary who has become totally complacent—the status quo isn’t good enough. With Chairman Dixon’s help, we’re going to finally start delivering for small business again.”
Chairman Dixon joins several other locally and nationally recognized leaders who have signed onto the Sykes campaign, including U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, former Lieutenant Governor and Congressman Jim Gardner, radio host Steve Noble, Founder of First Liberty and 2018 Jurist of the Year Kelly Shackelford, Focus on the Family and Family Talk founder Dr. James Dobson, civil rights leader Clarence Henderson, pro-life activist and Chloe’s Foundation founder Kurt Kondrich, and many others from every part of North Carolina.
While the campaign rallies support from every part of the state, E.C. Sykes continues to prove that he is the candidate voters have been waiting for to defeat Elaine Marshall. Voters are expressing loud and clear that they want a businessman in the Secretary’s office, not a continuation of the status quo.
