Today, Family Research Council Action PAC announced their endorsement of E.C. Sykes for North Carolina Secretary of State.
“We note favorably that you’re a political outsider with a track record that speaks for itself. From serving as both volunteer and Executive Director of Faith and Religious Liberty for the Ted Cruz Campaign, to running successful public and private businesses built on a small government model, you’ve been fighting for conservative values for some time. We’re encouraged by your pledge to defend the sanctity of life, the American family, and religious freedom from the onslaught of political correctness. We’re also pleased with your intention to put your business acumen and passion for our nation’s foundational principles to use for the citizens of North Carolina. As a man of faith, we believe you will honor these intentions,” said Lt. Gen. (US Army-Ret.) William Boykin, Executive Vice President of FRC Action PAC. “FRC Action PAC is confident that you will be a dedicated advocate for limited government, for individual liberties, and for strong family values. You are the leader that North Carolina needs, and we are pleased to offer our endorsement of your candidacy for election to the Secretary of State.”
Founded in 1983, Family Research Council is a nonprofit research and educational organization dedicated to articulating and advancing a family-centered philosophy of public life. In addition to providing policy research and analysis, FRC seeks to inform the news media, the academic community, business leaders, and the general public about family issues that affect the nation from a biblical worldview. Their vision is a prevailing culture in which all human life is valued, families flourish, and religious liberty thrives.
“For decades, I have turned to the Family Research Council for analysis and guidance on issues ranging from life to marriage to religious liberty. The values that serve as FRC’s foundation align with my own, and I have been proud to support the work they do at all levels of government for years,” said Sykes. “FRC chose to endorse our campaign because they know that there is no other candidate in this race who will stand stronger for faith, family, and freedom. I am honored to have their endorsement and look forward to continuing to engage with them as Secretary of State.”
The Family Research Council joins several other widely recognized organizations and individuals who have signed onto the Sykes campaign, including U.S. Senator and former Presidential candidate Ted Cruz, former Lieutenant Governor and Congressman Jim Gardner, radio host Steve Noble, Founder of First Liberty and 2018 Jurist of the Year Kelly Shackelford, Focus on the Family and Family Talk founder Dr. James Dobson, civil rights leader and President of NC Frederick Douglass Federation Clarence Henderson, pro-life activist and Chloe’s Foundation founder Kurt Kondrich, and many others from every part of North Carolina.
While the campaign rallies support from conservatives and Christians from every part of the state, E.C. Sykes continues to prove that he is the candidate voters have been waiting for to defeat Elaine Marshall. In regard to both grassroots support and fundraising, voters have made it clear that E.C. has the business background and North Carolina values that they want in the Secretary’s office.
