Raleigh, NC — Today, E.C. Sykes’ campaign for Secretary of State released its final ad of the campaign, titled, “Silence.”
“As the radical left takes to the streets to defund our state’s law enforcement, destroying businesses and communities in the process, we need elected officials to stand strongly beside our police. These men and women need our support now more than ever. Elaine Marshall has refused to provide them that support,” said Sykes. “Rather than protecting the businesses and families that she is responsible for, she’s opted to do what career politicians always do—what’s politically easy. Standing up to the liberal mob in defense of North Carolinians everywhere is what needs to be done, but apparently, that’s too much to ask of someone who’s spent 28 years in office, hoping to make it 32. Our state needs and deserves better, and that’s exactly what we’re going to deliver to them in only eight days.”
The Sykes campaign’s new ad, “Silence,” can be found here and the transcript can be found below. This final ad comes after the campaign released a series of other ads defining the stark differences between E.C. Sykes and Elaine Marshall. The full list of the campaign’s general election ads can be found here.
On July 21st of this year, E.C. Sykes released a statement in which he spoke out against the vandalism of Durham Police HQ and expressed his strong support for the first-responders that have continued to keep North Carolina’s communities safe. Since then, the campaign has received endorsements from both Democratic and Republican members of law enforcement from all over the state, with more continuing to sign on to the team in the last week of the race. The Sykes campaign also focused its first campaign ad of the general election, titled “Support the Blue,” on supporting North Carolina’s first responders.
The Sykes for Secretary of State campaign will continue highlighting that Elaine Marshall’s values do not represent the values of North Carolina. To stay updated with the Sykes campaign’s progress, visit www.ECforNC.com or follow on Facebook and Twitter.
Sykes: Businesses are burning. Crime and assault are in our streets, and Elaine Marshall’s response? Nothing. I’m E.C. Sykes, I’m running for Secretary of State, and I will stand with first responders.
